Health Care?

Hello There,

One of the most important things about the company I work for are their maternity and health care benefits. Sometimes I get really depressed with America's way of dealing with these two important topics. I feel like we are really falling behind other developed countries as far as paid maternity leave and universal health care are concerned, and it makes me really sad. Does anyone have any ideas as to the root cause for these inadequacies? I just don't know.
