Choosing an area

Hello there,

One of the most important things about making sure I get the right townhouse is actually SEEING it. For many people, this is no big deal, but for me, it's a problem, because the townhouses I'm looking at are relatively far away, and it's not easy for me to just drive around and look at places. But at the same time, I want to make sure I know the neighborhood before I put an offer on a home. Does anyone know of any good websites to get demographics on an area, or even descriptions of certain communities?
