I think it's better to get the cheapest home in a nice neighborhood, but my friend thinks I should look at the home that's the "best value" i.e. in a not so nice neighborhood, but at a nice price. I'm really not sure she's right, because I really thought that a buyer can get more return on their gain if they purchase low and fix it up--but only if they are in a neighborhood where nearby homes cost much more. Please feel free to chime in...
